I'm amazed by the advertising discussing "prevention" in healthcare. Mammograms, PSA testing, various drugs, etc. are used as examples of prevention. Ok, early detection may help to prevent death, or at least reduce the likelihood, but they are not truly prevention. Almost no one truly talks about prevention, which would involve finding out why the diseases occur in the first place (genes, environment, lifestyle).
