Following are some resources we recommend. They're either my work or work done by someone for me (and others) that I thought was absolutely excellent.
Online Root Cause Analysis workshop - Here's where you'll find an electronic version of my root cause workshop. It's hosted by JP Russell, and there are several other quality-related courses. These are excellent when you have a small number of people to train. Note: You will get a 15% discount on all courses if you use the code DOKES2010.
The Auditor - Over the past 16 years I've trained several thousand internal quality system auditors to audit to ISO 9001, QS-9000 and/or ISO/TS 16949, and I've been a frequent speaker and/or seminar presenter at the annual ASQ Audit Division conference. The folks at Paton Professional asked me to write a regular column on auditing, titled Auditing Outside the Box.
QI Macros - Developed by Jay Arthur, one of the simplest yet powerful tools for analyzing data (e.g., paretos, run charts, histograms, control charts). All you do is put your data in MSExcel, and this set of macros will allow you to analyze it very quickly without having to learn a whole new application. I used it for many of the examples I use in my root cause training courses. Note: Although you would pay the same price as if you went directly to the companys website, if you click through from my site I get a small commission.
Paul Bishop Photography - When I decided to upgrade my website I wanted some more recent photos, and not just the standard studio pose. I was amazed at Paul's ability to both shoot and edit photos that showed the real me.
Planet Media - Founded by Kurt Whitt, this organization has designed and managed my website since the turn of the century (21st, that is). They offer a wide range of creative solutions that allow companies to effective use internet technology to serve their customers. (download brochure)
The Quality Portal - A website providing information on quality techniques, references, and service providers.
Elsmar Cove - A forum for discussing quality-related topics, searchable for previous discussion topic and downloadable attachments provided with them.
